Here is my second post. Last week, Thursday, the 20th of May to be exact, the Red Hot Chachkas played at the new Freight and Salvage.  What a great place to play,  Very professional and acoustics are great.  We played in the first of "KlezExtravaganza"  with The New Klezmorim.   Good crowd for a Thursday night and lots of great energy.   We hope to make this mini festival an annual affair.  Next we will be at the Fairfax Festival on June 12th and San Francisco Free Folk Festival on the 13th.  Check out the schedules on their website.  We are happening.  Plans are finishing up for our tour to the Pacific Northwest.  If you know anyone up there, let them know we are coming. Come on out and show your support.  We love our fans.  Keep posted for pictures when I learn how to use my new video camera.

with Shamalamacord at most shows...

Here is my first post on this blog.  As the manager and violinist of the Red Hot Chachkas, I am really excited for all the concerts we will be doing this summer.  You can see the long list of gigs we have this summer in the Bay Area as well as on the road.   I have worked very hard to get us booked on this tour to the Pacific Northwest.  Watch this blog over the next couple of months and see the antics, music and adventures we get into on our first official tour.  Let us know what you think and be on the tour with us through this virtual tour.  I will post pictures and video as we go along.  Enjoy.  I will love to hear from you.   Julie Egger
